-isms: Grasping a clear concept (1 Viewer)

Liberalism, socialism, fascism, capitalism- even communism~

All the -isms are used so frequently and commonly and yet, I am finding it difficult to get my head over what they mean- not only theoretically, but in PRACTICAL terms.

I have tried searching the internet and library catalogues...but I don't seem to be getting anywhere.

For the sake of saving time, could any-one please help me (and others who are confused about the -isms)? Recommending resources (i.e. good books, websites) would also be greatly appreciated.

I think the best way to learn them is to get a textbook and learn them.
Otherwise it's to hard.
