good insight.
& you're better than Dr Phil.
i rkn its a useless insight...
to suggest that masturbation is done merely through lust and the objectification of women is absurd. first, it is not restricted to males only... women do it as well in which theyd picture getting rammed with a throbbing member as well... and so the feminist viewpoint is clearly a lacklustre one..
she insinuates further that masturbation is an unnatural thing. Her reference for this of course is the bible. for a scientifically minded argument, the Bible is not and never will be an article of fact, and thus cannot be refered to in support of you perspective. Masturbation is the act of self stimulation to acheive pleasure. This pleasure is the reward process the human brain uses to encourage intercourse though which our genes get past on...
Further she claims that a prerequiste to any conscience is spiritual maturity. I disagree as i said in another thread. You do not need to be religious or have any faith in a god, in order to live a good life in which you can help others and be good to them. Of course you will disagree because your doctrine tells you to honour god, that is the purpose of your life.
fianlly she also claims that 'what you feed, grows'. Naturally, sure. In this instance, christians love to site what happened with Ted Bundy in the US, who through an addiction to porn and women, became one of the most horrendous serial killers in america's history. Watching porn does not make you addicted to it. I would suggest perhaps it desensitises you to the finer details of love, however Ted Bundy's example is in no ways, by a very long shot, universal.
If looking at women is so bad, then try to explain 'songs of solomon' - a book in the bible devoted to love songs.
So basically, the bible cannot be used to condemn masturbation on any level.
It is only natural,
feels good too,
so keep flogging away ppl
