Agreed. Looks like BOS went easy this year following all the complaints last year e.g. simple reply letter as opposed to a complaint letter.

^ seriously.. i think there was something wrong with the reading and writing..
some of the questions were so cryptic...
it required more than simply a translation.. it needed your interpretation..
cause like there were so many marks allocated! ><""

That's happening across the board in LOTE exams, higher order thinking skills and whatnot. I like it, you don't have to understand every word to 'interpret'. :)

So it seems BoS were a little less sadistic this time. Listening and reading were fair, writing was always going to be disastrous.
Overall, not bad.

i thought it was great! i wouldnt say easy, becuase knowing what the questions wanted was kinda hard, especially in the 2nd reading one. but listening was great, no words i didnt know, no awful questions. nothing on the environment or unemployment issues etc great! reponding was great 2, there were so mnay things you could write about.

overall, very very happy!

Wasn't too bad.

I spent too much time on Listening and Reading, therefore had to rush through the writing. But I think I'll be alright. *crossed fingers*

I'm more than half worried about extension now. Planning to cram the whole course in 1 week. LOL.

Edit: Goodluck to all!

The exam was awful for me. Listening was fine but the rest  I ran out of time for most things. I would have liked to been able to produce something decent but I had a mental blank. Did anyone else have that sinking feeling when the examiner said "Time"? I was so upset and disappointed. Oh well there is nothing I can do about it now. Lets hope the markers are in a giving mood.

Yep you are. Read it in a Board of Studies booklet, "students may use their dictionaries during reading time", or something to the like.

I used it for a word in the e-mail reading/responding, and for my writing. But, I accidentally wrote "From Josh" when you were supposed to do "From Chris", I hope they're all "Naww, poor kid - we understand" and don't take too much off. Felt like such a doosh after I walked out, but I was pretty confident with reading/responding. Not so much writing, blerughh.

Yeah it wasn't too bad... xcept one weird thing was that everyone finished after 2hrs and a bit and left me alone in the exam room with the invigilator!!
And I barely finished... I can't understand how ppl can finish so quickly..
