Usually I think protesters are umemployed left wing losers. BUT I don't like how they're being beaten up in the CBD, nor am I a fan of Minns telling me not to go to the CBD, because some Tel Aviv Asshole is visting.

The safety of the Jews, is not worth sacrificing freedoms, such as the freedom to protest and the freedom of speech. Cause let's face it, the Muslim was trying ot kill Jews, he did not want to harm any Australians. And while I disagree with mass shootings, this is an ISIS vs Zionism conflict, that has nothing to do with Australia, so I should not be affected.

it’s so embarrassing how the govt be doing the most to protect a group of ppl that literally don’t need protection sorry. and even if they did, the measures being taken are no less than extreme. what happened in town hall was frankly disgusting and to the people who think it was justified to break four vertebrae of a grandmother or throw punches on an old man with his hands up then seriously reevaluate what you stand for. peaceful protest is a democratic right, and yes it was entirely peaceful until the police started throwing people around .
the laws that got suddenly got passed that are stripping the protection and safety of protesters are violent and baseless as fuck. the movement against zionism isn’t gonna stop much to the dismay of all zionists so yeah if the govt could keep it up with the police brutality and MAGA bullshit then more people can start seeing them for what they are, bibi’s lapdogs

I think it's part of a bigger problem regarding the shadowy world of lobbyists and their impact on public policy. Many in the general public think politics/government is corrupt or rigged etc, but most don't understand exactly why. One of the big problems is the cycle of big money donors and lobby groups who have unfettered access to government and often push public policy that has limited benefit. A lot of this stuff flies under the radar because the public dont know where to look and it flies under the radar of mainstream media. Most anti-corruption bodies in Australia have been banging the drum on this for years but it generally gets ignored. The public is focused on "politician benefits" or other low impact nonsense and miss the massive graft that goes on behind the scenes.

This isnt necessarily directed at the Jewish Lobby specifically, but all kinds of special interests groups like Unions, the resource industry, big business etc. As a public servant its hard to watch because we are subject to very stringent rules regarding probity and conflict of interest, but these are almost non-existent for lobbyists.
