just looking at table A8, it seems that anything over 97 uai is underestimated.

I had about 50 I think.

didn't use any for 2004 since there was table A8

For SOR1 unit, do I put in the mark out of 50, or do I make it a percentage???


edit x2: figured it out. i made SOR1 2 unit instead of 1 unit.
Now my predicted UAI is 75.7.

Ok I used sam and my Jap X mark which is 45/50 isn't counted! I am doing 11 units and maths (68) is my worst and it counts as apposed to my jap x mark... Is sam right?? How does it determine this??

It determines it by taking the 10 highest scaled marks.

ok, i entered some marks in of what i expect i could get as i dont have any marks yet to indicate anything but what i dont understand is that when i read the info it says everything is scaled down - even if its only slightly - including mathematics, physics, history ext etc. eg i put 92 in for physics and it says scaled mark is 43.3/50 or 86.6 total. Does this mean they were scaled down for 2004 ?? To my knowledge physics, mathematics and extension courses were scaled up ????

When someone says "scaled up" they mean the scaled average is higher than the aligned average.

no subject is scaled up for every mark.

this ones better than SAM now since it tells you which marks correspond to certain % rankings in the state, which allows a far greater degree of accuracy to be obtained when entering the marks.

They are both estimates, neither are right

Statistical tests have not been done to evaluate which program is better, so nobody really knows.

Although JUAISeek hasn't been updated for a while now, since i just got no time... It would be nice to update since it has some premium SAM features.

I have received my final marks for the preliminary course (out of 100) and i was wondering if i enter these marks into this will i get an accurate UAI? What can i do to get an accurate result?

Your HSC marks, and your preliminary marks mean nothing

This gives me like - 4 UAI points compared to SAM.
