I did a LABO exchange in Japan in the christmas holis. 3 weeks with a host family. It was sooooooo cold but a great experience! I got quite homesick tho. I didnt stay in Tokyo or any big city.. i was kinda in the suburbs so i was really the only australian in my area. lonely but amazing. I'd love to host someone here but after the hsc...

I went on the LABO exchange in the xmas holidays too. The host family i got were really nice and i didnt have to worry about anything. I got to stay in the metropolitan area of Tokyo half of the time and in the nice country areas of Gifu. Despite attending too many LABO parties/gatherings, overall it was a really good experience. I definitely recommend this program and it's easy to get accepted.

can someone plz post more information up?? is it for school students? or are you still eligible if your under 18 and have just finished school? howmuch does it cost? how long beforehand do you have to apply?

I am! So excited, and I'm leaving next week. I'm a bit worried about the language barrier though, I pray that my japanese shall be fluent enough by then.n I'm not allowed to speak english during my exchange...^_^;
