i'm thinking what to wear about my formal eh? like i dunno if i should 'formal', 'smart' or 'smart-casual'..

but yeahh i was thinknig like.. pink button up shirt with open collar and grey pants.

but i dno what colour shoes?

this is where the girls come in =|
and if you think my ideas were shit in the first place.. make some suggestions on what i should wear..

Anyways, back to you; yes, I would go with code black. It's the safe bet, because all the other million at your school would be in that too. If you're daring, then go with gray. I know one guy going in all white (including shoes) - gangster much?

Pink shirt could totally work, depending on how you pull it off. Some of the guys at my school are coming in converse chucks with their full suit/tux, which personally I think is hot.

ROFL i was browsing photos on bebo (looking for camwhores and their hilarious self degrading posing.. anyways...) and I saw this guy in a full green suit. That was one of the moments in my life that I would never, ever forget. It was lime green and HIDEOUS, like a Shrek suit. OMG, i think I literally shrieked in horror. I mean, where the eff do they even.. produce green suits anwyays?

you can just go in your normal black school shoes, which I know heaps of the guys at my school are going to do.
And you can go for like white converse as well, to stand out from the all the black you have on? I've seen it done in the past and it really did work.
And I was thinking for ties, you can do the "relaxed formal" look by having it loose, not up close and choking you to death. Or you can take this idea further and go with a bow tie but not tied into a bow (lol much?) but hanging on your neck? Think Casino Royale or Michael Buble. It was H-O-T.
