Language: English
Tomatometer: 89
Metacritic: 86

One of the best documentary I have seen, about this rich guy Tim Jenison spending years planning, researching and drawing his very own Verneer painting "the lesson". And it look very good at the end. What amazing is that Tim had virtually no painting experiences before.

verdict: 8.5/10

Tim's got one hot daughter too.

Last movie I've seen was How to Train Your Dragon 2 and it's definitely entertaining. Now I'm curious about the first part and would want to see it as my son is begging me to get a copy of it :)

Holy fuck, with the same cast from "Chasing Amy", this movie is hilarious. And features awesome human-donkey beastiality scene.

Name: Birdman (2014)
Language: English
Tomatometer: 82
Type: Comedy-Drama

Birdman is a remarkble cinematic achievement. Telling the story of Riggan Thomson, a washed up actor attempting to revive his career through a Broadway prodcution, Birdman is an experience like no other film. For 95% of the film it gives the appearance that it is shot in one long take, truly capturing the excitement of live theater. If it had not been for films banal themes and message being as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face, the cinematography along with Michael Keaton's and Edward Norton's powerful performances would be enough to make it one of my favorite films of 2014.

Verdict: 8.5/10

Probably the best anime I have seen recently. From the director of 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time' gives us this wonderful fantasy-drama.

Beautiful characters and musical score.

My first Satoshi Kon film, Tokyo Godfathers is a heart-warming and thought-provoking film. But really nothing when compared with Miyazaki's works.

Not one of his best works, but you can always count on Miyazaki's skill to create movies worth seeing. Beautiful animation, lovely characters and peaceful music. A pretty weak story keeps the grade down here.

Paraguayan thriller is a simple with full of twist of plots. Directors Juan Carlos Maneglia and Tana Schembori weave together a complex, fast-moving intrigue with little more at their disposal than a few cell phones and the byzantine corridors of the market.

Name: Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (2012)
Language: Turkish
Tomatometer: 93
Metacritic: 82
Type: drama

A bunch of grizzled cops spend the night driving through the Turkish countryside, a couple of murder suspects in tow, as they search for the burial site of their victim. Gets boring because it's long and slow.

verdict: 7/10

It takes the film one and half hours just to find the body.

From the same director of "Once Upon a Time in Anatolia" and set in the same fucking town. The final half-hour is a joy to watch, as turning points follow in rapid succession. Again the same long fucking movie as his previous work.

verdict: 8/10

Expect beastiality and you're forgiven for thinking it is from the same movie as Anatolia.

Better than Skyfall, best Sam Mendes movie that explore the repercussions of violence, the relationships between fathers and sons, and the path to vengeance.

This movie really makes you feel 1920s Chicago.

Despite the amount of bullshit and another typical Marvel style movie, this movie was surprisingly entertaining with it's funny dialogues and beautiful cgi.

Robocop.

An 80s thrill ride with lots of violent, dicks being shot off and other entertaining antics, despite this the crime ridden detroit has an awesome atmosphere. It reminded me somewhat of Total Recall another film by the same director Paul Verhoeven. Good watch 9/10 if you don't take it to seriously.
