AH an interesting development and something I never knew had happened; keep us up to date on any developments. It looks like boredofstudies is monitored by a lot of media outlets when anything concerning students arises. Lazarus just another famous boredofstudies administrator well done, even know it’s a little delayed.

in a few years, as much as this site develops more and more, we are well on our way to being as popular in the media as board of studies itself...

well seeings he is doing law/comp sci i'd say it would be 99.something
He transferred into that combination. If his thread is up where he posted his marks, I think he had a UAI of 96ish.

I think I read he originally did psychology at USYD.

Totally late reply:

Hmm, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to have an opinion in this area as well, but I personally agree with the BOS' decision and assesment of the situation.

I think that, not only will there be a huge burden placed on marking centres/markers/exam setters/etc, but I think that it would increase play in the already HUGE 'numbers game' -- 'wow! not only did the scaling in Japanese give my UAI 4 more marks than my Ancient History marks; but my raw mark in Japanese was LOWER!'

Surely transparency in this situation really is for the best of everyone, most importantly, students.
