I love Le Tigre, their mix of New Wave and Kathleen's hotness makes them the grooviest band since Daft Punk. But, being debatably straight, I was wondering if they were more popular with homo/trans/bi/metro/all-sexualilities than with hetro's?

In my parts, where you get bashed for liking anyone but Holly Valance, Le Tigre is my secret.

they'd be alright except for the singers voice, its fucking terrible. if you like le tigre, you should download a few songs by metric. much much better.

Which one do you mean? They all sing. And, in they're own way, they're all great.

You are right, Katie, they don't have the tonality and interchanges of Snoop Dogg and Pharrell

Having all the albums, and some bootlegs from their NY-underground days, I must say that...despite the fact that I lovelovelovelovelovelovelovelovelove them, their albums have steadily gotten worse: (selftitled)>(Feminist Sweepstakes)>(I don't count their remix album as an actual work, but it would go here)>(This Island)

As for actual songs, here are some of my fav's from their albums:

Le Tigre - Deceptacon, My My Metrocard, Les and Ray, Eau D' Bedroom Dancing
Feminist Sweepstakes - Fake French, Much Finer (DEFINATELY NOT KEEP ON LIVIN')
Remix - (Don't bother unless you're hardcore =P)
This Island - Seconds, Viz, Punker Plus.

its just my personal opinion. you asked about le tigre, so i'm telling you what i think of them. hell, i'm even trying to recommend another band for people who are into that kind of music.

and i like that one song? so fucking what. i guess i'm clearly not underground because i like one shitty pop song.

Le Tigre's "TKO" is a gem...i don't know if it's rock, dance, alternative, pop, punk, new wave or what but i do know that i like it.

is the rest of "This Island" as good as TKO?
