Hey everyone

this monday i have a listening assessment on king lear and what do you think is the best way to prepare for it?? any suggestions??

dont u get a sheet telling u what aspects they will be testing?

all it says is:

you will be played an excerpt from king lear or a tape which is commentary on King Lear. you will be asked questions which relate to the tape and will write answers to these questions

ehhh.....well, u cant really prepare for it as such......just generally know ur themes and u'll do fine. (i did an exact same task on lear as well)
just make sure ur close to the front of the room...

we had to do a listening task for another text...basically know the main ideas and themes. Also, if you are watching it on TV (like we had to), it might be a good idea to close your eyes. You tend to listen better....as long as you don't fall asleep
