Last time I did one of these we were given questions on a tropfest short film ("Alice's Baby" if you must know) such as "How do the objects in the drawer show how things have changed?" and "discuss two techniques used to show Alice's role reversal with her parents". Usually i'm good with making answers up on the spot but last year in this task I REALLY struggled. I was completely clueless!!

How does everyone else cope with listening/viewing tasks and what is the best way to prepare so I won't be caught off guard??

Does your teacher have practice ones to do, that you can do and get their feedback? :)

Also know many techniques to be able to identify them, particular film ones if it's a viewing task. Is it a theme? (We had one for Mod C-Conflicting Perspectives)

Know your approach-how many times do you get to watch it? Will you take notes the first time, will you try and lump it in groups, so your notes are better arranged to answer?
