Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

im not trying to lose weight as such, but i want to tone up a bit. im struggling heaps at the moment because im recovering from a whiplash injury :(. when i first had it, i didnt think it was serious so after 3 weeks i went back to the gym..HUGE mistake. its been over 10 weeks now and while im back at the gym now and pretty much back to normal, my neck gets tired heaps easy and some mornings i wake up with really bad neck pain still and can barely move it :(. I put on a couple of kilos initially but i have lost them now. I dont like taking it easy :(

Re: to lose the weighttt

the fitness people will tear my post to shit but honestly, this is what worked for me. i am typically at the gym a lot, more than your average person and constantly watching my weight and i had been trying to shift some weight for ages. anyway, i went on a holiday to qld, did no exercise for a week, lived off crap, my idea of a healthy dinner was a subway sandwich, besides that i ate the occasional apple. the rest of the time we ate fast food, and got drunk 7 nights in a row. i easily lost more weight than i hoped for just from thatw eek, every morning i thought i would be bloated but i woke up with a flat stomach. that was a couple of months and i lost a couple of kilos, i havent put it back on and im back at the gym. it was fantastic! why didnt anyone tell me thats how you lose weight!!?

Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

I've just started wanting to lose weight, as I've gained weight since starting uni. I'm trying to eat more healthily, and am starting to go to the gym after every Tuesday night class.

I want to tone my stomach, upper thighs, butt, love handles :)(), and biceps.

I also want to lose about four kilos in the process.

Whatever. I know a few people who have lost heaps of weight thanks to the ol' Mary J. Cause apparently it increases your heart rate just while you sit there sinkin into your seat. So if you don't keeps of bad food at your house (for when the munchies attack), then you should be able to lose heaps of weight easily.

Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

Yeah, well I live right next door to a corner shop. And I have a car. Ergo, the munchies take hold. :) I don't buy bad food as a general rule when I'm shopping... just when I'm smoking/going to smoke.

I could really give a lesser fuck what weed does to others, I know what it does to me. I love it, but I can tell you after having been smoking for a while that it definitely contributed to me gaining weight. I think I must also be dumber than I was when I left school. :p How depressing.

Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

i wouldnt mind losing some body fat, and putting some muscle on. I look pretty healthy right now, but really ive been sick lately and i would probably collapse just from running 100m. Definetely need to start running again and get fit, that will help lose some excess fat, then i guess i will have to go into some weight training. That will get me to my ideal body size, which is basically about 10kg heavier than i am now, but most of that weight in muscle.

Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

I've lost weight recently due to illness+stress but i'm trying to put it all back on, and try getting some muscle.

I've been doing yoga once a week and pilates once a week and eating lots of good nutritious foods :)
