I don't mind it. The topics are pretty interesting and when you have a good idea for PIP, writing it comes so easily.

I think society is a great subject, it's interesting and an easy way to get good marks
As for the PIP, as long as you're on top of things and know what you're doing and what you have to do, it shouldn't be so bad

My Economics teacher said it wasn't a 'real' subject and that it taught 'airy-fairy conceptions'. I beg to differ.

i really do love it.

as much of a pain the PIP was during the process, i must say now that i am finished, i have really found a new appreciation for it.

it was so wonderful to see it all come together, all my research, two years worth of learning concepts and application, etc

:)

Society and Culture is my life.
I live it, in a literal sense, as I apply the concpets to my life every day.
I think that is very sad but yes it is, in fact true.
I am a SAC-oholic. I can't egt enough SACohol.

i'll see you at a SAC Anonymous meeting someday.
like Lisa said, doing the PIP was amazing, it's so fulfilling to finish and hold the final product of all the research and intense writing.

research the focus studies outside of the syllabus.
ie. i'm reading Storey's work on Popular Culture, it's fascinating. The creation of a high culture and therefore a 'low culture' to compensate...So intriguing.
as for work & leisure, i do find that a little tedious, but no course is perfect. The gender aspects of it are interesting though. Like the construction of patriarchy to allow men leisure time as domestic activities are socially construed AS leisure for females.

I absolutely love Society and culture!! It helps me so much with my other subjects, and its like therapy for all the other crappy subjects! I love it!
And i agree with Wixxy, you can apply it to your everyday life, it makes me think of everything in more depth, and i tend to apply everything to the concepts.
So much fun and so interesting! We also have an the most awesome teacher in the world which does help.
