magnetic fields, and how to identify which point is the closest (1 Viewer)

i got a problem with magnetic fields, i got this question which has tonnes of points near a magnet bar, is the closest to to the magnet bar the strongest (except for the null point)

i dont quite get what you mean, but i'll take a guess. btw, what do you mean by 'points'?

if you do have two bar magnets facing each other, i.e. a north pole facing a south, then the strongest magnetic field is nearest the magnets. thats why the lines are drawn closer in between the magnets but more spread out further away.

i think. it only seems logical.

The closer the lines are together the stronger the force at that point.
Its exactly the same premise as gravitational field lines from the "space" topic.

Reasoning: the closer the dot to the bar, the stronger force of attraction it will have to the bar.

If you are given an image that has the field line actually drawn (not this one of course). Then the strongest magnetic field lies in the area with the highest density of magnetic field lines.
