Hi people, I just did this prac in chemistry today involving the use of a catalyst (manganese dioxide) in the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. I was just wondering, how come after the MnO2 pellets are added to the solution and the reaction takes place, it looks like they dissolved in the solution even though it's supposed to be insoluble? Is it just because of the heat released increasing solubility? thank you all very much in advance :).
