My mentor, that we met at o-week, totally sucked.

We gave her our emails, she never gave us hers, and she never got back to us. I saw her on campus recently and told her that she shouldn't waste everyone's time if she wasn't going to bother with actually helping.

It was really bad, because I missed the library tours, and my other friends said their mentors took them on one, or arranged one. Thankfully I went with another group, but it annoys me when people do half-assed things like that.

You should have been in my group, we did all the important stuff and i did make an attempt to email everyone several times (though half the emails were non-existent when i sent them an email). Mentoring is great, though one aspect i hated was that some would roll their eyes when we tried to arrange games or were trying to be very friendly. Its a role you have to take, yet some thought i was a nerd because i did that sort of stuff, and some never got into the spirit of it, which ruined it a bit in terms of getting to know each other in the group.

yep. you will hear about it as the time goes nearer. they advertise it heaps at the end of year in the form of groovy adertisements. All you do is send in a form to the student centre and later get 'selected,' though its likely everyone gets picked. You even get a certificate at the end of it... which reminds me, i still havent collected mine yet :/

Money is such an earthly token. And as Asylum put it, we get Karma points..

And Afterall, All you need is the yellow shirts for Eternal happiness. I plan to wear mine at my honeymoon, they are so dam sexy!!!

did u put your proper email down on the list? because i know quite a lot of people (including me) who couldnt contact them later because the deadheads didnt record their email properly (by either accident or on purpose). So it would have looked like the mentors didnt care...
