You should have been in my group, we did all the important stuff and i did make an attempt to email everyone several times (though half the emails were non-existent when i sent them an email). Mentoring is great, though one aspect i hated was that some would roll their eyes when we tried to arrange games or were trying to be very friendly. Its a role you have to take, yet some thought i was a nerd because i did that sort of stuff, and some never got into the spirit of it, which ruined it a bit in terms of getting to know each other in the group.PwarYuex said:My mentor, that we met at o-week, totally sucked.
We gave her our emails, she never gave us hers, and she never got back to us. I saw her on campus recently and told her that she shouldn't waste everyone's time if she wasn't going to bother with actually helping.
It was really bad, because I missed the library tours, and my other friends said their mentors took them on one, or arranged one. Thankfully I went with another group, but it annoys me when people do half-assed things like that.
I hope you're a good mentor!
