Hey guys, I am currently doing my HSC and aiming for a 97 atar.
My subjects are
3U Maths
Advanced English
Chemistry
Biology
Physics

I am currently ranked first for all of them except extension 1 maths (behind by 0.2% apparently due to some weird assessment moderation program :vcross: ), What sort of HSC or raw mark should i be aiming for in these subjects to achieve a 97 atar. Btw, I go to an average comprehensive high school that is usually ranked around 200-300th. Many Thanks! :)

Thanks, but those are just conversions from raw to hsc marks, they dont really give a good idea of the atar. I was hoping that someone who achieved an atar of 95-98 could share their HSC marks to give a general idea

dropped it... yeah i know, a bit of a shame. But the amount of work that i ended up having to do to manage 6 units of science, 4u maths and Advanced english, and to stay competitive was too overwhelming. The girl that was in my extension 2 class devotes all her time to extension 1 & 2 maths, because she is too lazy to study for her other subjects, drama, history, legal and english (her ranks slid heaps). But that will still end up giving a fairly substandard atar, so i figured i am probably better off to not make the same mistake as her, lessen the workload, and capitalise on my marks in my other subjects.

I think you'd need high band 5's and maybe even a band 6 for the sciences and English, a high E4 for 3U (47+) and an E4 for 4U. What I'm telling you could be completely wrong though, you should just play around with ATAR calculators to be sure.

You're brother's being humble about his atar. Seriously, I think you're brother meant 98.95 or something.

If you're coming first in everything except MX1, you're probably on track for a 97 anyway so dw.
