Mass (Volume) Calculation I cannot seem to get right! (1 Viewer)

1.3 Grams of Zinc react with excess hydrochloric acid at SLC (in which one mole of gas 24.5 L). What volume of Hydrogen gas forms?

The answer is 0.487L but I keep getting half that.

Nope I got 0.487L did you get the equation right?

2Zn(s) + 4HCl(aq) ---> 2ZnCl2(aq) + 2H2(g)

Since the charge of Zn2+ and Cl-

With a balanced equation the numbers should be in lowest common multiples.

The answer is correct though, the working's attached.
