MATH 1031: Help with tute questions (1 Viewer)

Hi I got an answer that is different to the one at the back of the booklet.
For part (a) I got:
w=10-2P
x=7P/6
y=P
z=1/3
Where P is a variable.
And part (b):
w=0
x=35/6
y=5
z=1/3

For anyone else, the question is:
Given the system
w+2y-3z=9
w+4x-2z=10
-2w+2x-5y+8z=-16
(a) Find the general solution of the system.
(b) If w,x,y,z all have to be greater than or equal to zero, find the solution having the largest value for x.
