Someone help me out pls Got a math question



Find the equation of the locus of all points which are equidistant from the two parallel lines 3x-2y+4=0 and 3x-2y-8=0

I will not present the answer here, just the explanation of how to get there.
What you want to do is find any point on each of the lines. It does not matter what points you find (Think about why this may be true).
Then, find the midpoint of these lines. This gives a point on the locus.
Finally, Since you have 2 parallel lines, you can determine the gradient of the line, and as a result use the formula y-y1 = m(x-x1) to figure out the line equation.
