i think ppl on here would be happy to help- paying $50+ per hour for year 10 tutoring is not worth it imo. most ppl have lots of free time (maybe not '25ers), u can self learn + ask for help here (for free) and save ur parents a boatload

I'm basxically looking for what op is looking for, but my search has come to an end sadly
and exactlyy 75 bucks is not worth it 😔 (from experience)

not really great with sets (if i remember correcty), but coordinate geometry was really interesting to learn and one of my best topics last year, i'll be happy to help!

do you think it'd be worth going to ngos since it's (comparatively) cheaper than a lot of other options? ngl i'm not doing badly in the newer topics it's just i didn't pay any attention at all so my foundations r ass

but thanks i think ill just work on it by myself since i dont think any tutoring centres rlly work on the things i need to revise in y10

also if u do wanna do math do standard do not do advanced if ur not constantly getting 80%+

everyone whose yr 10 foundations aren't nearly perfect can barely do good in advanced n u might be like oh its ok ill improve trust u never do
a girl in my class used to get 70% in yr 10 math last year and despite all the teachers telling her not to she did anyways and ended up with a 13/40 on the first advanced test and was forced to drop immediately, mind u she went tutoring in yr 10 and yr 11 and worked every day in the holidays and never improved bc she never focused in class

tutoring without class is absolute money wasting so instead of looking at tutoring try to be active in class then see how ur grades
and straight out yr 10 5.3 math was the EASIEST math in all of the junior yrs

eh at the end of the day its ur choice do whatever u want w my comment just dont do tutoring be active in class

also random fyi the girl that duxed yr 10 last yr (1st in eng, 1st in food tech, 1st in pe, 1st in history - dux: first in most subjects) dropped math and no one dares to judge her - she also was in the selective stream

ok thank you, it's just different in places like ruse since not many people drop math so it's hard to work around
