i mean do you go ruse?
yeai mean do you go ruse?
I mean I have a friend who was doing like accelerated 3 unit math earlier last year and then dropped math altogether and now she's not doing itidk i'm in y10 but i don't think that many people drop math??
I mean he goes to ruse so he should be fine doing adveveryone whose yr 10 foundations aren't nearly perfect can barely do good in advanced n u might be like oh its ok ill improve trust u never do
a girl in my class used to get 70% in yr 10 math last year and despite all the teachers telling her not to she did anyways and ended up with a 13/40 on the first advanced test and was forced to drop immediately, mind u she went tutoring in yr 10 and yr 11 and worked every day in the holidays and never improved bc she never focused in class
tutoring without class is absolute money wasting so instead of looking at tutoring try to be active in class then see how ur grades
and straight out yr 10 5.3 math was the EASIEST math in all of the junior yrs
alright thanks so much but like uhh i was kinda looking for advice on what to do rn with tutoring/studyingwhen it comes to which math to do. I think just see how u do in math this year, see what grades/ranks u get compared to the grade and then see whether or not u should do 2 unit, 3 unit, etc. Also u can ask ur teacher for their recommendation to see
I think just start paying attention more in class first. Then spend some time working on ur foundations and then building on it and doing harder questions. Then if ur still struggling then u can consider tutoringalright thanks so much but like uhh i was kinda looking for advice on what to do rn with tutoring/studying

good lucktysm i got my half yearlies in 3 weeks![]()
oh well in that case fuck yr 10 math
wait wdym??oh well in that case fuck yr 10 math
u can do absolute horse shit in yr 11 and yr 12 n u wont be affected (kinda exaggerating but its the point that matters)
ugh i need to study for my exams tmr maybe someone can explain to this kid why doing bad in james ruse wont affect him in atar and hsc markswait wdym??
cause u go to a high rank school so u won't get dragged down by a poor cohort cause everyone is smart. Plus ur exams are probably hard asf so evens if u do bad in ur internals u will probably do really well in ur externals, so ur hsc mark won't be too badwait wdym??
might be worth looking into a private tutor, otherwise everyones gonna be at du/kurt bashing every question in existencehi im looking for math tutoring for y10, wondering if anyone has recs on where to go if youre looking to build ur foundations and improve school math rather than accel... currently dropping 50-60% in school tests so
yeah you're right but i don't want to be the person who other people have to pull up if that makes sense?ugh i need to study for my exams tmr maybe someone can explain to this kid why doing bad in james ruse wont affect him in atar and hsc marks
you've just demotivated brobro if u cant focus in yr 10 math do not consider math in senior yrs trust ur gonna pull the class average down and everyone in the class w u
also if u do wanna do math do standard do not do advanced if ur not constantly getting 80%+
u're deadass gonna regret sm if u do
I sent you a PM about using a free one hour trial lesson to go over the test paper where you ‘dropped 50-60%’. It‘s completely obligation free, but if you find it useful, you could just organise a few sessions to go over all the other tests where you’ve lost marks and still aren’t sure how you would arrive at the required solutions.alright thanks so much but like uhh i was kinda looking for advice on what to do rn with tutoring/studying
