BTW, did you just use the lecture notes/course pack or did you get the textbooks as well?

So far I've only purchased the course pack and I'm using the lecture notes. I don't think I'll be buying a textbook, since I've still got my brother's Discrete Math textbook from when he was in uni a coupla years ago :) Otherwise I'll just borrow something from the library.

But do you find it useful. I'm considering buying it if I can get it from a cheap source and it is useful.

Well the course pack includes a book full of problem sets and final exams - it's not too bad, I've already done a few of the q's. But yeah I don't think I'll bother getting anything else for MATH1081.

Some of the proofs hurt my head! Its so obvious but then you need to write something that makes mathematical sense....

They were alright but I was refering to Q12(?) in the problem set.

I think I better get some sleep on. See you in the accounting, and maths lectures ;)

They were not fun! I had absolutely no idea :p

After reading through my stuff on the train this morning it all made sense, but it made no sense when he was waffling about it

Nope I don't think I will.. I've got a copy of Matlab at home so I'll probably just learn how to use that on my own.

My advice is to concentrate on MATH1151 and forget about MATH1081 all together!

Did any of you go to the actuarial BBQ?
