Dousie said that most of that part would unlikely be in the exam, but we should able to do the tut questions that involves manipulating vectors like from Maxwell's equation show it satisfy the wave equation or something.

errr...all those prereqs arent really stringently applied in maths so u can do it as long u do ok (like cr). math2111 seems 2 attract hardcore maths ppl (a lot of them are near the top end) and bummy elec eng ppl (some of whom fail) so its a good mix of ppl.

this is so true, thou those bummy ones in higher 1st year maths seemed to be disappeared.

btw...i rckn doust is very short tempered...>_<

math211 in general goes too quickly for most of us (including me :'( ).. however the group i was refering to talks lots in other elec lecture I have in common with them and I don't think they are the work-demanding type of people..... now math2111 is a work-demanding course for most of us, and so they just did the normal SVC.... which I've been told by my friend the lecture literally inform them what's in and what's not in the exam...... if that couse doesn't scale them down then everybody in math2011 will get HDs while us will get, say, CP or if luckly, PS

of course the above statements does not apply to §eraphim, who I believe is a capable person

Doust is not short tempered.... otherwise those kids cathy bring along to the lecture would have driven him mad (they drive me mad anyway) thou Doust's son goes to the same school with them which might be the reason that he tolerate those kids....
