Simplify then diffrentiate e^log x

ok so i'm not sure what they mean by simplify

i get e^log x/x by chain rule

the answer in the back is 1

Can you please explain the reasoning for me :)

Here log is ln because it is cambridge

d/dx(e^log(x)) = d/dx(x) = 1

I did log in Year 9 and 10. I've forgotten it though. How pointless that was on my part...

I also did it last year in my Year 10 Advanced 5.3 class. Still remember some of it :D.

So you'll be sitting the HSC in 2009? If so, change your date, to avoid confusion.

no 31/05/92 comes BEFORE 22/06/92

Therefore, you're older. :D
Yeah, you're younger. It shows. ;)

Hmmm, I think logs and calculus of logs are two different things. If I remember correctly, in Fitzpatrick, manipulation of log is like...Chapter 6/7, whereas calculus of expo/log is in like Chapter 15/16/17.

Nevertheless, I hated log lol. Just too lazy to learn the language lol.

Haha. I don't really have a problem with logs. It's Max/Min for differentiation, probability, and the first bit of radians that I have an issue with.

Yeah I've done them in Years 9 and 10 too. Both at tutoring and at school, and I've forgotten all the laws and everything. The only thing I remember doing is pulling down the power p to make it plog :D
