Ok that would be goodIt was definitely somewhere in between 2021 and 2022 but 100% not 2021 easy

wdym? you have two roots, you need two more. You have (abcd being roots): a+b+c+d = 1 add abcd = -30, you have a and b given so you have 2 equations and 2 variablesHow can you do product of roots when u don’t know if the rest of 2 roots are real or not???? How will u find the the i component if it ain’t real
What? How can you do product of roots when u don’t know if the rest of 2 roots are real or not???? How will u find the the i component if it ain’t real
Ohnahhhh that was wild. what the actual was that SHM with the two particles wtf. spent like an hour on it.
no fucking way it was, my working for that involved none of that...What?
i) was just conjugate root theorem
ii) was sum and product with the two unknown roots as alpha and beta then solve
Iirc it was -3,2 as solutions
but it didn’t say whether it was at its maximum at 4 or if it was still moving away. I was hella confusedOh
I found that question beautiful
Ngl probably got it wrong but it was fun hahah
what the hell man you’re insane!45 people viewing this thread damn
that exam was alright, definitely harder than 2021 and close to 2022 though
im annoyed at myself because I made a silly mistake on that sphere question and possibly the locus question at the end as well but I feel decently alright about every other question (finished with just over 20 minutes left so didn’t have time to check tons but there was still enough time) so we’ll see
it started at rest which means it was a maximum. threw me at first too thoughbut it didn’t say whether it was at its maximum at 4 or if it was still moving away. I was hella confused

yeah you could just do sum/product and then inspectWhat?
