Does anyone think Matrix's revised ATAR formula based on 2015 results is abit weird??

Like take this for example, shocked me

Not sure what's shocking? Do you mean the stuff in the 40s? That's a "Mark per Unit" thingo (out of 50)

Yeah I know but it still scales roughly the same. Sorry just thought that was suprisisng as they are similar marks, with similar scaled marks.

Granted 95 is more than 94, but the difference in scaled marks is quite low for subjects I would of thought had very different cohorts

Yeah it's actually legit. I have the scores for my school for the actual scaled marks and a 93 in physics was 45.79 and 95 in business was 45.9

yeah and compare that with 2014, where the difference in scaled marks was substantially more

95 in Business is around 92/100, whereas a 94 in Physics is around 89/100. You need to gain more raw marks in Business. But a 95 in Physics requires around 92/100 as well.

General maths this year also scaled horribly in 2015, even worse than normal.
