Hey Guys i was interested in this brand new course opening next year at UTS.
(Media Arts and Production). As it is a new course there is no set ATAR required to gain entry so i am wondering if u guys could give me your best estimation as to what it would be. I was thinking in the 90's but i hope this is not the case, for my sake =s.

Cheers guys

This is the Course description.
UTS: Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Media Arts and Production) , UTS: Communication

I doubt it would be that high. I'm doing a similar course at UOW (Performance Production) and there was no minimum ATAR for that. They wanted around 70 though.

media arts and production at UTS isn't a new course. cut-off was 94 UAI last year, which converted to ATAR is 94.45.

if it's too high, you're better off doing it at UNSW which is 83-84 ATAR.

Hey Absolutezero what was the interview like to get into that course. I was considering doing sound prod and composition at UOW but i am concerned about the interview. They want me to hand in some of my music compositions, which i will do, but i am not sure of the quality they expect. Wine is just a generic acoustic medley with a few effects and such, but are they expecting like an amazing orchestral piece do you think?

i dont want to become a cameraman lol. i want to do sound engineering the safe way, not through a greedy private providing organisation.
Uni holds more weight when it comes to employment then the colleges.
