there is no move it to the left bit? it should maintain the same slope as the line connecting ml and mr and then be a third of the way between that line and mm?

looking at past papers it is quite a common question, i suggest you learn it.

perhaps u did learn it but it was referred to by a different name, i.e the line of best fit?

i just wanna clear something up ..

is the median regression line, the line u join the 1st/last point to or is it the dotted line to which you slide to the middle median point?

geeezus!! i was joking! maybe next time you should check b4 saying something untrue.

well geezus!!! i was joking! maybe i didn't check because i didn't know it was untrue, had i known it was untrue i would have checked but if i knew it was untrue why would i check seeing as new? so you see i did something called "making a mistake" but i guess some people in this world (or out of it) don't make mistakes

and really theres no need for apologies

the median regression line.. to MY understanding, wat u do is divide the scatterplot into 3 equalish areas, and through finding the median of each group, plot a dot where the middle is and do that for each area, and then join it up.

it is NOT the same as the line of best fit, as the line of best fit is drawn by eye, and median regression line is actually calculated...

does that make sense..

hehe..well kinda..

what im trying to say is, theres 2 lines right? the dotted one and a stright one.

THe stright one is made by joing up the 1st/3rd median and the dotted line is the sliding line.

but im trying to say is, which one is the actual regression line?
