Hi

Im talking about the yellow card we get for medicine concession. I have been offered a scholarship. Im wondering do I need to let Centrelink know? Or is it centrelink does provide that card for medicine concessions if we are being paid as a scholarship?

Cheers.

That yellow card is a health care card.
It benefits with cheaper medical bills and medicine.
You can get it from Centerlink if you're a student.

you would probably be getting the health care card because you are a low income earner or you are on youth allowance...

you do need to tell centrelink of any income you earn (including scholarships)...

however you may not lose you health care card or benifit as centrelink may not count the scholarship as income...

tell centrelink about the scolarship, they will send you many forms to fill out (seems thats all they ever do) and they will decie from you answers on that form whether to count your scholarship as income...
