Hey everyone im currently studying the syllabus point:

• Explain the relationship between the structure and behaviour of chromosomes during meiosis and the inheritance of genes:

One thing im wondering is when does duplication of the chromosomes occurs?? Is it before meiosis or during im not really sure about this. (is it during prophase??)

If you're talking about DNA replication, it happens during stage "S" or the synthesis stage of interphase in a cell cycle, before meiosis occurs.
