To be clear, the gate that has been plastered all over the media in an attempt to highlight how "defenceless" the barracks really is, was not the front gate at all. The front gate is actually about 1km down the track from the gate in question, down a winding road with armed army personnel (not security guards) at regular checkpoints. All these "terrorists" (and I use the term loosely, because this was just pathetic) could have done, is killed the security guard, and maybe blown up the cadet base that's not far down the track!

You don't have to be a serious, james bond villian terrorist to do a fair bit of damage. As for Australia not being a target it seems to be a target of oppurtunity (if nothing else) for our nutty local muslims.

You obviously haven't done much research into the question. A lot of muslim terrorists are well educated. Doctors and engineers seem to make up a disporporitionate amount of AQ's recruits for example.

Emphasise the word theological . Islam is serious business. It’s the claim that its "god's" final word. Under Muslim theocracies there is no liberalism movements, no non-literal interpretation of the Qu'ran. Little separates these terrorists and the majority of hardline Muslims, bar action. Now all the "liberal-minded" Aussie/Muslim kids pop up and go wtf, "we're not like that". Quite frankly, you’re not a "true" Muslim, in the Middle Eastern sense of the word (and that ain't something to be offended about, its something to be proud of).

The calls for "tolerance"/"respect" are pathetic. How could you respect someone, who if they are following their religious text correctly, rightfully should hate you?
