For task 1 we need to write a comparative essay on Merchant of Venice and a related text. I have a couple of ideas for related texts but I'm not sure which would be the best course of action.

1. The Applicant by Sylvia Plath
2. To Kill and Mockingbird
3. The Island by Armin Greder

Do any of these texts relate to the rubric at all and if so, which would be the best to do? And if there's any other texts that would be good to do please let me know

I did Araby by James Joyce as my related text for MoV - it is a decent one if you want to use 'the female experience' as one of the themes you look into
