so i find myself slowly getting into more and more metal. i think its a good thing... i guess its just the natural progression from hardcore to metal core and now im really liking all the metal bands my friends have suggested to me

so if i like bands like
ill nino
nile
in flames
children of bodom
caliban
cradle of filth

etc etc
who else might i be into
im aware some of those might be considered shitty metal bands so tell me some good ones and get me headed down the right path

industrial..i would say;
metal riffs and vocals everything,
but usually with lots of electronica/synthed out shit in there.

edit: if you like that get static x (try anything from shadow zone album for starts)

Nightwish are probably more gothic metal. At least that's what people I know call them.

I don't know if you'll like these, but hey, here are a few I'm into that haven't been mentioned yet...
Symphony X. The Edge of Forever is a good song by them.
Dream Theatre
Dave Martone - this guy incorporates just about every genre into his music. Some crazy composition going on with him.

You might get into Dragonforce for a while. They're great at first but most of their songs sound the same so chances are you'll get over them pretty quickly. Worth the listen though.

Also, you might like this stuff by one of my mates:

Check out Demon Ritual for one, but most tracks are pretty sweet.

And just for the hell of it, http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=298392&songID=2587659
It sounds a lot better metal, amirite?

Give Dimmu Borgir a try..
As well as.. Cannible Corpse, Arch Enemy, Soil, Soulfly, Hatebreed, Slayer and A Perfect Circle.
My Dying Bride are also brilliant - I recommend you definitely listen to them.
