i think playing metal helped me to be a better guitarist than alot of the people i know who play things like punk (they dont even know the 5th chord names, they call it by what number the root note is on)

but thats not saying im good at guitar =]

twee kids and smiths fans are obviously the best at english
nu-ravers and electro indie kids are the best socially and get laid
punks love to get pissed and pretend to fight

I disagree. Metalheads love to get pissed and do stupid shit involving vandalizing stuff.. It's the hip-hop/rap fags that start fights..

That goes back to the history in those Scandinavian countries.

The poor hedonistic Vikings were conquered and made Christian.

Atleast.........thats what the black metal people say.

I hate puns! I start fretting about how bad they are! (LOL!)

To answer your question;
I'm not actually sure. I currently own 2 Ibanez's.
I'm looking at;

Gibson SG-3

SG but with an extra pickup for better range, versatility, and tone

Les Paul DC Pro

sexy sexy this thing would sound HOTTTT.

Of course I'd rather a 7 grand PRS, but thats not exactly in my price range.
You got any recommendations?

i hate you you cunt.

buy a telecaster.

and i dont like that sg.

3 pickups just doesn't fly with me for some reason. its the same reason i don't play strats and why i want a telecaster so bad.

sif not buy a gretsch

Yeah I'm not sure about the SG. If I got it it would need to be rewired anyway.
Its pickup settings are either; back, back middle, middle, middle front, front. Not all on. gay.

but ergh at Tele. Too big, chunky, and twangy for me.

Yeah my dad said "gretsch?" but looking at the prices its either cheap or over my limit =\

teles aren't big at all.

the thinline teles are tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny.

and they're not twangy.

they're like most versatile guitar ever.

its just all the country people you see having them doing the twangy thing.

this is coming from someone who only has les paul style guitars. i want a tele so bad.

mmmmh. I didnt like when I played. I'll have a look at these thinline ones.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a Gibson or Les Paul, unless I find something that looks interesting and I'll find one to play.

Mate has that, and I can attest to the fact that it fucking is sex on wheels.

Other mate has that, actually played by angus (damn cousin of angus bastard) I got to play, liked the sound, but wasn't too crash hot once too much distort was applied.

Otherwise there's not too many real choices for choice guitars around that price range I don't think. I'm only playing an RG-100 and that's by no means a mean guitar, but it does the job.

What styles you looking to play?
