i have an essay due - on monday
its How did Meyerhold use a wide range of different theatrical techniques and conventions to radically challenge, as he saw it, the restrictions of naturalism? In your answer refer to specific practised examples.

Look at the symbolist plays... Hedda Gabler was a very important one as IBSEN had no intent on it being symbolist... plus it was one of the first.. talk about tintagiles, and how stanivlasky had a fit when he saw what meyerhold did with the lighting, he was radical... a nice contrast with stanivlasky would help alot

especially something with actor audience relationship

discuss the way were being taught to act now, like how we need to find balance, etc. rehearsing in weird postitions and tableux... the thing is we've probably done different training to you guys.. we did this thing with balancing brooksticks to try and find our balance and explore our space and stuff.. just excersices like that.
