Hey,

I have an interesting ms word problem. To get there: Make a bullet, write something in. Now press enter to get another bullet underneath and then press tab to indent it. Here's my problem, when I press tab, my second bullet (or any for that matter) don't indent. Instead the typing cursor indents. This is so &#@^ing annoying!

I turned on "show all" that little reverse P in the toolbar which shows dots etc. and when I press tab on a bullet, another arrow appears like the one next to the bullet. I tried lots of things...nothing. I then reinstalled Ms Office 2003 and the problem persisted. I'm nearly tempted to format my hdd but URRGH!

So... anyone know what to do:confused: *PRAISE* for the person who does! :)

Rahul

try this :
press bullets then type press enter, then press tab the cursor will indent then press bullet again.

if that doesnt work - play around with ruler thingy at the top. keep trying it will work.

under normal circumstances, the bullets are meant to line up, and the text is meant to line up next to it...bullets do not indent themselves further and further with each line - hitting the tab key indents the text not the bullet

if you want the line (bullet and text) to be indented futher than the one above it, go into
format -> bullets and numbering -> outline numbered -> then select one of the lists
you can work with the styles of bulleting (dots, stars, numbers, etc) of each line on the page or in format -> bullets and numbering

otherwise, just work with the indents and tabs in the ruler (or format -> paragraph -> indents and spacing; and format -> tabs )
