I was wondering what the procedures are with Misadventure appeals for stress and depression?

Who evaluates that it impacted upon you HSC?
Does your appeal require Medical Certificates from your pyschiatrist and/or doctor?
What happens if your misadventure application is successful?

I was just wondering...thanks for any replies.

I believe you can apply for the EAS (Educational Access Scheme), which will take your situation into account and allow you to get into some courses where your UAI is slightly lower.

More information is provided in this thread.

In terms of misadventure in during the HSC exam, if the application is successful then you will attain your moderated assessment mark as your exam mark, thus being your HSC mark.

It's unlikely that you'll receive any sort of special consideration for stress or depression unless you have a specific condition diagnosed by a medical/psychiatric expert.

You can get a certificate for clinical depression however-that is a form of depression that is recognised.

What about if you are streaks ahead of your class, say you are about 30% above the next place. If this is the case wouldn't the moderated mark based on the other performers in the class be way lower than what you should have gotten?

You would have to show the stress and depression were not just an ongoing concern and that there was an immediate worsening for the exam.

Jezzza, if you get it is in the hands of BOS. No-one here will be able to tell you. No use stressing more, just do your best.
