Do you write your notes like this?
You know, because if you do then you've probably got the best notes for Germany.

1948 - Uh the Allies were occupying Japan. Washington announces the 'Dodge' stabilisation plan for Japan. This was supposed to make Japan a better market economy or something.
Probably should write more notes on this.

Best way to revise your notes - give all your people voices and make them talk about stuff. Duh.

Was Depression 1929?

If so, 1923.

Was Depression 1929?

If so, 1923.

The Depression in Germany started in 1928 when wealthy American investors who had invested heavily in German business and other economic sectors withdrew their funds to invest on the more profitable and lucrative Wall St Market. This sudden withdrawal of funds by which a significant part of the German econmy was reliant on sparked a depression earlier than 1929, however the Wall St. crash in 1929 only exacerbated the Depression in Germany further as other countrie's protectionist policies devastated the German econmy which was dependet on foreign trade

1923 - Occupation of the Ruhr by French and Belgian troops for failure to repay reparation payments, sparks Hyperinflation in Germany

edit: stupid on-screen keyboard means I can't keep up :( just ignore my answers, haha.

1951 - nothing for my option.

1923 - hyperinflation sparked: hardship, poverty, confidence in Republic at all-time low, society kinda popped and went crazy, Nazi popularity rose
French occupation of the Ruhr region + policy of passive resistance
Munich Beer Hall Putsch: Hitler's first political stand-up, the army supported the Republic this time, Hitler imprisoned 5 years but in reality only 7 months, emerged as a "patriot and a hero" - Shirer.

By the way, tku336, your notes are awesome.

Ummmmm... 1917.

1950 - SCAP begins crackdown on left-wing publications in Japan in response to heightening cold war realities. Left wing newspapers were either shut down or replaaced with more conservative editors by order of the Occupation forces. (i think it was in 1950)
