Hey guys, being a huge kpop fan and listening to kpop only for my whole life, I have always been able to relate to Kpop artists and musicians and their lyrics. Not only so, I really find their lyrical composition and meaning of the songs sooo attractive. But I think it is a real shame that their work has limited availability and exposure in the current world. Its true that they have been lucky enough to have the chance to show sydney and other major western cities in the world like london. But I don't think this is good enough. Kpop deserves way more influence and exposure to the everyday people who are constantly bombarded with american pop music (which i will admit was ok in the past with N-sync and backstreet boys) which really suck now with the autotuning and pure commercialisation. Its a real shame that Kpop still hasn't penetrated most of the US which are polluted with these "music".

Anyways other than Kpop having limited influence in the Us, I wanna point out on some issues why classical music is the ONLY genre that is being taught in most music schools. I don't find this suprising knowing that most music schools like Sydney music school being really conservative and traditional but shouldn't it be a time that they mix some modern music like kpop with it? Studying music from the past might be good for music theories and scales that are reallly essential but isn't the purpose of doing music, learning the history of mozart all in order to relate to the current audience of today??? So whats opinion on it guys? Shouldn't it be a time that we add some lessons on Kpop at most major music schools around the world?

This was your argument. Do you expect us to believe, after one edit, we'll think you were referring exclusively to k pop?
i didnt 'edit' anything? none of my posts say "last edited at 1am on the 31/1/12" on the bottom do they?

i said it regarding musical influence and it turns out asians go insane if you insult asian culture so i ran with it

also the west is better than asia, this is a fact

You mean better standard of living? Well I'll just say that I'd rather live in Japan than America.

the usa has the 4th highest standard of living in the world
japan is only 12 (which is excellent)

both nations would be a pleasure to live in. i dont understand that criticism of the usa? they are still one of the most developed nations with one of the highest standards of living and income.

also the west =/= just the usa

and washington dc is a shithole
