Hmmm..will the UAI drop because of the increase in spots?
The increase seems unsubstantial to lower the UAI ?

depends..the article doesnt give enough details to exactly how many places are given to each course. For small course like actuarial studies which accepts around 150-180 each yr, an increase of 50 can do alot...

but any increase is better than no increase..esp for the ppl who wouldve juz missed out by .05uai.

350 is a reasonable increase, but I don't think it's even a 2% increase in the number of entrants (for a cohort), and if you take into account the general rise in UAIs required for entry into Macq, there shouldn't be much change in the UAIs required.

Yes, but don't forget more places are to be allocated to full-fee or something or other. Also, each year the UAIs have risen. And 350 extra places isn't much, if spread across many departments.

The transfer criteria might seem easy, but the fact is that MQ are know for harder exams and they dont like giving out good grades often, it seems.

I fully agree with orangeguy. Even if they give out easy exams (eg. Comp115) they scale it down heaps.

And also a HD can't save your GPA as much.

Perhaps you're definition of nailing it, wasn't as good as what others did. =p
