Do the souls automatically go into the appropriate gems? Like having petty soul gems, and grand, etc.

Here's a pic of my level 55 character with his friends (Off course I used a cheat to temporarily increase my magicka to summon all of them:)):

Name: Plague
Race: Breton
Class: Necromancer [Custom]
Sign: The Apprentice

Some of them are hidden behind the Storm Atranoch and Clanfear is a bit camera shy and is hidding behind my Golden Saint:D

I think the soul automatically gets captured in the lowest level empty soulgem. Like petty then lesser etc.

Umm, I don't think it's the same for xbox, coz I caught a winged twilight & had stacks of different kinds of empty gems, and it automatically went into a grand soul gem, and the same with a golden saint. Then my dremora went into a greater soul gem.

I think it depends on what kind of soul it is. I think there are levels to souls, hinted at by the scrolls of lesser & greater domination.

Hmm, then maybe it goes to the lowest level available that the sould can 'fit' in.

Hmm, would you be able to capture the soul of a creature you summon?

yeah, and it's the easiest way as well. If you have the mod 'Giants Ultimate' there are a few other good monsters too like Harpy which has a soul of 350.

Do you guys think that Morrowind becomes too easy when your character grows? At the moment I'm not troubled by any monsters except a few big ones like Advanced Steam Centyrion and monsters from mods I have installed, like Werewolves.....Oh I should mention that my enchanted items are probably the reason. e.g. 70-90 frost damage for 5 seconds.

I don't really get troubled anymore either, with enemies. I can kill most wild creatures really quickly now, since I got a daedric katana. I usually carry about 4 or 5 enchanted weapons too, which help when fighting people.

Your enchanted items sound awesome. Wish I had some as affective...

Is there a less expensive way of capturing souls? I'm not worried about the gems, but the masses of soul feeder scrolls I need are getting a bit expensive. Is there an enchanted item somewhere? Or can I make one (if so, how?)?

You can learn the spell for capturing souls. It shouldn't cost u too much to learn it. probably around 400-600. But to cast it u need high Willpower and need some skills in Mysticism [how high your Mysticism level shold be is dependent on the spell you use. e.g. a spell which is cast for 15 sec through Touch is less costly than 30 sec, at Traget and requires higher Mysticism level to be cast succesfully] so your spell doesn't fail most of the times. You can get the gems from most holes by killing the thieves, but if you happen to get your hand on Azura's star, it's reusable.

Also there are enchanted items that has soul capture, I picked up more than a dozen, but I don't need any of them. Just look around you should be able to find a few good ones.

Although I specialise in magic I carry around 5 bows [glass, daedric, ancient nordic, and 2 others...all enchanted] plus 2 enchanted daedric dai-katanas that I picked up during raids on daedric ruins.

To be honest, I mainly make use of my enchanted amulets and rings. Rarely use spells that require magicka.

I have an average willpower - maybe around 60 - but I'm pretty sure my mysticism is only around 30.

I don't think I've ever used spells, because my magicka has never gone down (or at least I've never noticed it) - I am a fighter after all... I've used scrolls, but like you I mainly use enchanted items. My most used amulet would be my one of Alsimvi (sp?) Intervention - moving around when you're overencumbered by three times what you can carry is a little difficult. Has anybody else gotten an "Overflow Loot Bag"? It scared the crap outta me - i thought there'd been somebody else in my loot hiding place...

I love my Daedric Katana, I want an enchanted one now! My Katana is the only weapon which I carry, which isn't enchanted. Can I enchant it myself? I have a pretty high Enchant level, it's one of my major skills.

Willpower of 60 and Mysticism of 30 might be OK. Get some training in Mysticism if necessery.

Magicka does not replenish, u have to rest. and that's the anoyying part. Because after a bit of fighting either you have to use potions or rest [mind you, my health replenishes. Around 12 pt per sec. I sometimes just stand while lesser enemies attack me. nothing happens:D:p]. Almasivi Intervention is a good spell. I use it to get back to base when I'm far. I also use Mark and Recall.

I haven't got that overflow message yet :D. whenever I an overloaded I through away less important items.

To enchant your Katana, you need very high enchanting skill and very high Intelligence. Even then, there's a chance of failure [I have intelligence 100 and enchant 100 and still fail sometimes]. To reduce your chance of failure, you can use potions that fortifies your intelligence for a short time. But if you have money, you can go to one of the enchanters and enchant your item. But know that it will cost you an arm and leg.

just a quick note: I found a really good sword notheast of Suran. just over the top of mountain from Suran. It belongs to an Orc named Umbra and it's an awesome sword. It has 120 sec soul trap as well. If you want to have it go and kill him. But be warned that a good sword in the hand of an Orc is very dangerous.

I don't have any problem with Magicka replenishing - coz I'm under the Atronach, my magicka doesn't replenish even when I rest, but I have an increased absorption of it, so I just find a magical creature, and have them attack me. Too easy.

I'll tell you what super peeves me off: I have done so much on my game, but have only just started off on the Blades quests, and I have to talk to an Orc in balmora mages guild, but she's gone for some reason. I can't find her anywhere, and so now I have to restart the game, or else I can't continue with the Blade's orders. IT IS SO STUPID AND FRUSTRATING!!!!! I tried starting a new game, but going from 100 strength, 100 long sword, 100 unarmored, 100 short sword, 100 athletics, and 100 acrobatics, back to nothing is bloody frustrating.

In Blades quests.......you are ahead of me!!!!! Because I still have to talk to that guy in Fighter's Guild who asks me to get him the dwemer puzzle box:eek:

yeah, it is very frustrating to start a new game when you have worked hard to build a character. If you haven't killed that Orc in Mages guild; then if you have installed mods...that might have caused it. I dunno how you might be able to solve this problem.....but....you could try installign the update patches..... ...that might work if you're lucky.

I am doing morrowind on xbox, so there are no mods I can install.

I dunno where she went. I remember her complaining from interruptions heaps, so I must have done something to stop the interruptions and she buggered off. I definitely didn't kill here - I don't kill innocents.

Oh well. I was just lucky I had a save game which was after starting, but before she'd gone. It is heaps far behind where I was up to, but it is better than starting from scratch, and I'm slowly catching up. I've been focusing on the Blades quests now :p

BTW I lied before when I said that the NPCs don't interact with you depending on gender. Sure, the non-important ones don't, but in order for me to advance with Hlaalu house, I had to get a sponsor - Crassius Curio. He said he'd become my sponsor if I took all my clothes off. Of course, I had to do that, or else there was no stronghold for me...

Then there was Nels something-or-other (forgot his name). He was some random thief along the road to Pelagiad, who asked me for a kiss... I was tempted to tell him that "I'd rather kiss a guar", but gave in and kissed him. Apparently he'll be useful. I'm a user!! lol :D

HAHAHA...I remember "uncle" Crassius. The first time I played morrowind, with my cheat character, I followed Blades quests. And in one of them I had to convince him to make me Horator of the house he belongs to. He asked for a kiss. I gave it to him. [my character was a guy/still is]. Now I think I should've just killed him. I must certainly will this time. But I'll save before I do, as the game might screw up.

BTW. I finished all quests of House Telvanni and when I tried to join House Redoran they didn't accept me because I was in Telvanni. Is there a way of joining other Houses without having to get myself expelled from Telvanni? Because I love House Telvanni. As there's lots of no-one-cares-about killings:D

Quests finsihed:
Morag Tong
Fighter's Guild
Mages Guild
House Telvanni
will soon finish Temple.

I can't finish Thieves Guild's quests. As I had to kill all their leaders for Fighter's Guild.

.....Plan for the end. The very end. when I finish every quest in Morroiwnd and the expansions I will go on a rampage. Eliminate every single NPC from the game. I wish I could do the same for the beasts, but they respawn [I will abuse my alchemy to raise all my attributes by at least 100,000. Also my Health. Then I will enchant. Then Bathe in the blood of inoscents. Muhahahahaha..*caughs*]

[it seems you watch Sunrise on channel seven as well......how I laothe it when my Mum doesn't let me watch ABC kids or Toasted TV. Instead I have to watch Sunrise ]

OMG I had the exact same plan to go on a NPC killing rampage! We might secretly be twins!!!

No you can only be in one house, unless you are expelled. I've tried joining others apart from Hlaalu, but it doesn't work. I liked Hlaalu because they don't support slavery.

I'm relieved that I only had to take off my clothes. That is heaps queer that he'd make you kiss him - gross!! I had to get him to be my sponsor for house Hlaalu, in order for me to advance any further in it.

Could you have finished all the Thieves guild quests before doing the Fighters guild quest? Thats what I'll try.

I think I at least nearly finished the House Hlaalu quests before I had to restart coz of the stupid orc. I also have to redo ALL of my quests with the thieves, fighters and mages guild, and I had to rejoin the morag tong!!! frustrating as hell...

This time I'm just focusing on my blades tasks, since I figure I've got tonnes of time to do the other tasks after finishing the story, and that way I won't stuff up any of the future blades quests.

What race were/are you? I am a dark elf, and I was just wondering if all the other races are used to fulfill the Nerevine prophecy. And I'm having all these gay, "disturbing dreams". It took me about 7 tries to actually level up, because I just kept having stupid dreams.

There is a way to join 2 houses, I think the bug is fixed now. Join Redoran or Telvanni....

Near the end of the main story you're suppose to get all the support from the great houses, once you get Duke Dren's brother's support, you automatically join Hlaalu.

I think Telvanni likes Slavery...hmm..I don't mind it either. But I rescue all those Khajit and Argonains I find.

Now you know why I'm going to murder him this time. I remember when I played last time, I had to kill some of the Councelors, and it automatically got me their support. Hence Uncle will be dead.

Could you have finished all the Thieves guild quests before doing the Fighters guild quest? Thats what I'll try.
Yeah, definitely. But I hated Thieves guild after they made me steal a Grandmaster's Retort[or something] and gave me only 200 shmacroes.

I think I at least nearly finished the House Hlaalu quests before I had to restart coz of the stupid orc. I also have to redo ALL of my quests with the thieves, fighters and mages guild, and I had to rejoin the morag tong!!! frustrating as hell...

Might be a good idea. I once got greedy and killed this Mage and was asked to reload my game or 'fulfil the blah bla...'

I haven't had any chance to play Morrowind for about 5 days now. Might play some tonight.

I'm a lvl 64[or 62] Breton. All races, star signs, etc. fulfil the prophecy, as they should. Otherwise some people will not have a lot to do......besides lots of other stuff. Those dreams are natural. Later on in the Blades quests you'll get the chance to ask their meanings from an Ashlander Wise Woman.

Whaddaya mean?
I was talking about you signature and dating geeks. there was a little talk on that on Sunrise last week or the week before :D

....before I forget. I played Neverwinter Nights today. I quite like it. But still don't know much to make full use of my abilities and stuff.
