Ms office, save/undo (1 Viewer)

This is kinda obscure, but someone might have had this problem and can fix it.

In office apps, especially powerpoint, when you save the undo history is cleared.

Why is this? can this be stopped?

It is because I use emacs and I'm used to typing ctr-x ctrl-s to save, and in powerpoint this deletes the selected text box and saves the file :mad:
and I can't undo it!!!

This doesn't happen in Word, but it does in Powerpoint. Its actually really stupid, because saving _shouldnt_ delete the undo history... Go Microsoft...

So, all I can say to that is: try not to cut text and then save...

But if you 'do' cut text and save: Paste it back (Ctrl-V) before you close the document...

yeah, but when pasting back all the formating is lost... ah well, i'll just have to be careful
