Was the answer for collective rights trade unionism or self-determination? Aren't they both collective rights? I picked trade unionism btw.

mate

if its a summary offence

he won't be tried with a jury of his peers

it will be the magistrate imposing sentence and that's it

explain to me how it is that he can apply for bail

that happens anyway

does it matter if peers are there or not - they will still be able to judge the person whether it was summary or indictable, can they not?

Sorry, forgot you were smarter than the hsc markers themselves

Personally i thought it was A because the judiciary are able to make human rights law (i.e. Toonan, Mabo (if you count that as HR), Dietrich)
Oh no don't worry I picked A as well but I'm not too sure.
I was just going by what the syllabus say ad when it refers to separation of powers it's between the legislature, executive and judiciary.
GG isn't included
Sorry for sounding rude

GG is part of the executive as she represents the queen

What do you guys think is answer for 9 and 11?
I got 9.D and 11.B
It says in the Cambridge textbook that circle sentencing: sentencing for some adult Aboriginal offenders where sentencing is conducted in a circle of local community members and a magistrate

All in all some questions were quite deceptively complex, not as easy as I thought :p

Did anyone get over 18/20?

well

if it's a summary offence, that's dealt in the local court right

there's no jury

no jury tries someone for a summary offence

1. B
2. B

4. C
5. A
6. C
7. D
8. D
9. D
10. B
11. B
12. C
13. A
14. A
15. C
16. B
