Just wondering what everyone thought of the music 2 exam today.

the piece in Question 3 was literally just noise. lol.

Loved it, especially that Shostakovich piece in Q2! Already knowing the piece in the dictation question is truly a blessing!

That excerpt in Q3 comes close to being the worst piece of music I've heard in my life! Ugh the score was way too long, overwhelmingly too much to talk about.

Again, there weren't any chord analysis/key signature/identification type questions, just conceptual based ones (nothing less than 3 marks), which seems to have been a trend since 2012. Which is a shame, I like short objective questions. They're making it more like English (as is the case with every subject).

And perhaps the broadest essay question they've ever asked. Any concept, and one piece from any topic!

Welcome to music 2. Any chance anyone remembers what it was called ? It was the one for piccolo trumpet and orchestra.
