I wasnt joking... If its likely to be replaced anyway, then you may get extra life by just hitting it nice and hard... I've seen it work.

And if you are thinking of replacing... I like this one (for CRT):
Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 93SB 19" Flatscreen - at around $450/500

And you can't go past any of the samsung 17" LCDs... like 172x...

i had this same or similar problem a while back with the same monitor ur using atm, have u tried reinstallin it? coz thats wat i did an it was fine afterwards though i got help from a person named Winston on the forum (used to be the mod for the IT section)who told me to do all this stuff b4 it was fixed , try searchin his name up and coz i can remember he had his email in his personal details...
