I'm just curious as to how many people are actually doing this play...
It's current - as in the media - and is really quite strong in its message and themes.

This is the place to go for help and general discussion about probably the most controversial text on this years design texts list.

Thanks,
Hope this helps.

You are so into the play. You're going to do so well!
MY TURN!
RED - power, blood, pain...
BLACK - death, power, destruction, skeleton, shell...
WHITE - innocence, lies, pure...
BLUE - trouble, deception...
GREEN - natural, tricksy...
GOLD - wealth, lies, deciet, power, pain...
GREY - power, government, institutions...
YELLOW - hidden emotions, hidden agenda... a mask...
SILVER - etheral, power, wealth... a mask...

REMEMBER: There are no right or wrong answers! Only perceptions!

a recent piece of inspiration, has been COMPANY B's production of STUFF HAPPENS from 2002(?) - the set was awesome...
... and so was the chosen set for MYTH et al in OnSTAGE for the 2006 HSC...

BRILLIANT STUFF!

COOL!

Look forward to seeing it when it's finished.
Be sure to post the finished product on here when it is done.

Keep up the work, as you MUST NEVER leave anything to the last minute, not matter how small or insignificant it may be.

Good luck

PROMOTIONS is the way to go for Myth... et al.

One thing that I've been playing around with over the holidays is copying the exact stlye and layout of the posters, programs, flyers, media releases of the company of which you are "promoting" the play for.

possibly the hardest company to mimic and imitate is Company B at Belvoir St Theatre, mainly due to the size of the program. Other than that, my project is going great guns and is hopefully not wrought with disasters... YET!

Cheers,

If you need help on layout, get a good central picture, use a range of colours and styles and place the text in a non-confusing font and colour. White, black or red is good for text.

Place all Promo-text at bottom as is common of the syle... or depending on what theatre company you are using.

Hope this help,

just a quick question.....

i am doing promo (using myth,propaganda..)

and i have finished both my poster and flyer

yet have only used the title

MYTH

this has been used as a condensed title in a number of reviews/synopsi that i have read so is that ok - or should it be the full title???

i feel this play is really relevant atm. the information im getting from newspapers and the media in general is really helping to support my arguments regarding the text. steven sewell is a decent palywrite, in my opinion. a bit dry, but good none the less.

my poster is now 100% finished. I got 10/10 for it for the TRIALS, and I am really happy with it.
The program cost me an arm and a leg to get printed at Kinkos (OfficeWorks is screwed for printing on A6 paper). I need to fix one page up, which means either reprinting the whole program, OR reprinting one page. I don't know which one will be easiest!
My rationale is done.
My media feature story (media release) needs a bit of work, but it is done.
My flyer looks awesome, but needs some work on the front image.

Now, two weeks out from handing the finished product in, a fair whack of work needs to be done still, but as I am doing my TRIALS at the moment, it will be tricky.

I'll work something out!
