"navigating" = present particible so implies a process. as in coming to an understanding however the "ing" suggests it is not finite.

"global" is the blurring of traditonal concepts and boundaries. ie becoming a gloablised society whether because of technology, communications, transport or postmodern reflect.

so the key things to understand are that navigating the gloabl comes with a sense of choice and curcumstance - responses to a changing reality - that reflect the "ways of thinking"
