ok this myUNSW thing is really confusing. i'm gonna do comm/sci this year and i want to major in actuarial studies/computer science. i picked up a lil booklet the other day with the courses that i'm suppose to choose. but i can't see MATH1151, its not available from the list for semester 1. and in semester 2 its even worse, i can't find ACTL1001, MATH1251 and MATH1081.

never mind i worked it out, its search by catalogue. now what do i do if i have a clash? how do i pick another time?

Click on the waste bin to remove the time and click on "Add Classes" and you will be taken back to that screen where you select the times.

d00d how are you working around the crappy error when you try to pick COMP1011 for semester 1?
or r u doing COMP1711??

what comp courses are they? i put down COMP1091 coz thats what the blue actuarial studies booklet says to pick. have u got a recommended program from the comp sci ppl yet? have u got permission aswell? i haven't.

hmmm i was under the impression that to major in computer science, you would have to do COMP1011 or COMP1711
this is from reading the cse website and also talking to one of the lecturers....

but the enrolment system doesn't let me pick COMP1011 because it requires the prerequisits of math1131 or math1141 and it doesn't recognise my higher maths course of math1151

im currectly trying to get help by email....
not getting very far though

yeah this sux i called computer science faculty but they have an answering machine on. hopefully they'll reply soon.

btw what are the names of those two comp courses? COMP1091 is solving problems with software.

A simpler way is to swap the class you want to change for the same class, you'll be given a screen to pick another time.

eg, you want to change you TU2 for MATH1131. Swap MATH1131, for MATH1131, and you'll get a screen to pick new times, so just change TU2.

redslert ur right!! u gotta do COMP1011 first semester there aren't really many choices. and now i'm in the same position as u, it won't let me enrol due to that maths thing. damn this system sux.
